How do you add a Header that had your last name and page number on each page for word 2007?

Also, how do you indent? I tried to tab but it tabs two sentences.

How do you add a Header that had your last name and page number on each page for word 2007?
First the header deal:





1. On the Insert tab of the Ribbon, click Page Number in the Header and Footer group.


2. Select Top of Page and pick a format.





To put any other text into the header, double click in the Header on the page and enter the text. Double click outside the header to get out.





Now the indentation:





1. Click in an affected paragraph.


2. Click the Home tab on the Ribbon.


3. Click the arrow in the lower right corner of the Styles section.


4. The style for your paragraph should have a bold box around it.


5. Hover the cursor over the style. A listbox arrow should appear. Click it.


6. Select Modify from the list box.


7. Click the Format button and select Paragraph.


8. In the Special list box, select First Line.


9. Click OK.


10. If you want this to carry forward to other documents based on the template this one is based on, click the radio button for New Documents Based On This Template.


11. OK out of everything.





All paragraphs in the document with that style should adjust themselves.





When you close your document, you may see a warning message asking if you want to save the changes to Normal.dotx. This is an anti-virus measure, intended to alert you that something has changed in Normal.dotx. In this case, you made the change, so you want to accept it.





That should do it.
Reply:Go to VIEW up at the top of the word document and go to to Header/Footer which is near the bottom of the list. It will automatically show a header...type in what you want and close the header/footer box and your done. You can edit it by going back to the view, Header/Footer.





(You can use the align function for center, left, or right for the header also)

Use that little icons on your tool bar with lines and an arrow pointing either left or right. Put your mouse over the icon it should say, Increase Indent or Decrease Indent.
