How can a company use Glade as a registered trademark, Glade is my last name?

I know this may sound like a stupid question but, i am serious

How can a company use Glade as a registered trademark, Glade is my last name?
Because the company is using the name to name a THING, not a person, and can thusly have the name of the "thing" be trademarked...
Reply:I don't think you're the only one with that name. And, I believe they were here long before you were.
Reply:Sue them like McDonald's did to that poor Scottish man for his restaurant.
Reply:it's a product. the founders last name may also be Glade. Mine is Owens and there is Owens sausage. it happens.
