What is a good last name for my character?

Her name is Emma. She's a little clumsy, and she doesn't like boys. She doesn't care what she looks like. She is my main character. Written in first person. Any ideas?

What is a good last name for my character?
For a character like that, you want a generic name, to avoid making her seem like a Mary Sue, but you can't go too generic, which would be the same as having a conspicuous name. If you do give her a really common name like Smith or Jones, make sure that most of the other characters have similar common names. If she's say, Emma Smith, but her best friends are Carrie Rochester and Johnny Wolansky her name will seem like a transparent attempt to make her seem average and likeable, one that might overshadow her actually being anything like average or likeable.

Reply:Smith. It is a very ambiguous name that almost anyone and everyone can identify with.

Lol, she sounds a lot like that Mary Swan from Twilight.

In all seriousness, how about Jacobson or Mitchell?
Reply:I like Reed, or La' Claire.
