I have looked and searched ALL over the internet and can't seem to find the answer to this question. My last name is spelled Wiscaver and its pronounced whyskyver. I would like to know where did it originate from? If anyone can provide any information that would be great. . . Thanks!

This is one tough name. I couldn't find a source either. The name has been in the US since at least 1820. There were two families in the census with this name then. If it were in my ancestry, I would tend to believe that the name was spelled phonetically since so many were illiterate then that the census taker took a stab at the spelling.
Of course, it could be a very obscure name from some forgotten corner of England or Germany that has died out or changed spelling in the old country.
Maybe a more resourceful researcher will come along and have better results.
